Major General Samuel N Thuita

Maj Gen Samuel Thuita assumed command of the Kenya Air Force in August 2014.
His previous appointments include Assistant Chief of the Defence Forces for Personnel and Logistics, Chief of Strategic Plans & Policy, Base Commander Moi Air Base and Commanding Officer former Air Defence Control Unit.
He is a graduate of Kenya’s National Defence College in Security and Strategic Studies, holds a bachelor’s degree in Development Studies and a Diploma in International Studies.
He served with the United Nations in the former Yugoslavia (UNPROFOR) as a Force Headquarters Operations Officer in 1992/93 and at the USA CENTCOM, Tampa Florida, as Kenya’s Senior National Representative in the Coalition War against terror in 2007/08.
