General Robert Kibochi Visits Laikipia Air Base

General Robert Kibochi, the Chief of the Defence Forces (CDF), has concluded his tour of KDF Units and installations in Nanyuki region.

The CDF was accompanied by the Commander Kenya Army Lieutenant General Walter Koipaton and the Commander, Kenya Air Force, Major General Francis Ogolla when he visited Units and Bases in Nanyuki Region.

General R Kibochi, visited Laikipia Air Base (LAB) where he termed the Base as the arrowhead for the Kenya Air Force (KAF) by virtue of it being home to jet fighters.

“The Sound of Freedom in the Army is the Main Battle Tank, for the air force, Laikipia Air Base fulfills that vision through the fighter wing, who ensure air defence,” said General Kibochi.

The CDF shared his vision with the airmen and air women. He reiterated the need to prioritize training, modernization of equipment and systems as well as taking care of welfare issues.

During the tour he visited the Engine Test Cell and the Kenya Air Force Flying Training School.
