The Commander Kenya Air Force Hosts Kenyan Athletes Representative

Chief Inspector Milcah Chemos Cheywa signs the visitor’s book at the Commander KAF’s Office.

The Commander Kenya Air Force Major General Francis O Ogolla hosted Chief Inspector Milcah Chemos Cheywa the representative of Kenyan athletes on 23rd October 2019 at the Kenya Air Force (KAF) Headquarters at Moi Air Base, Nairobi. She was accompanied by Sergeant Nancy Langat, the KAF middle distance athletics coach.

Chief Inspector Milcah is a runner who specialized in 3000 meters steeplechase. She was, until 2015, African record holder at the distance and is the gold medalist of the 2013 World Championships in Athletics. She also won gold medals in 2010 African Championship and 2010 Commonwealth games. Currently she is the representative of Kenyan athletes based at Athletics Kenya (AK) Federation. Her main role is to facilitate the welfare of all AK affiliated athletes.

The discussion between Major General Ogolla and her guests centered on improving the welfare of KAF athletes. The Commander KAF lauded Chief Inspector Milcah for the great work she is doing and urged her to continue championing the rights of Kenyan athletes to ensure that they deliver best results.
