Major Wafula highlighted the requirement for joining the Kenya Air Force and gave a break down of the different ranks in the service.
“In order to join us, one is required to be a Kenyan Citizen, they should be medically and physically fit, have the age bracket of 18-26, they should also acquire good grades, especially in Mathematics, English and Physics” said Major Nasong’o.
He challenged the boys and girls to work hard in their academics if they intend to join the military after their secondary education. “Smart students will be able to secure the careers that KAF offers during recruitment, “he added.
In the end, Major Wafula urged the students to work hard and ignore the notion that only those who do not excel in their academics join KDF.
The students later had an air experience, after different pilots took them through the different types of Air crafts used by KAF and their roles during operational activities performed by the Kenya Defence Forces.
